The man behind the music for ‘Black Dynamite’, ‘Luke Cage’ and ‘Boogie’ was behind the camera for the cinematic presentation.
Composer / arranger / music producer Adrian Younge to release his first short film BRONZER on March 24 via the Amazon Music app and Amazon Prime Video. Younge wrote, directed, edited, filmed and scored the film.
“BRONZER represents the racial friction that exists between black and white society, âsays Younge. “As a black American, this is my way of synthesizing our abandoned history with a new vision of survival.”

TAN is a narrative film which sees five fragile souls, confused and in a fog of conscience and intolerance, enter a strange dimension. Piece by piece, each person realizes their destiny and the darkness they have left behind.
that of Younge BRONZER is an accompanying piece to the recent creator The American Negro album. He also launched an Amazon Original podcast titled Invisible Blackness with Adrian Younge as a way to further explain the message of the project.
The podcast also features conversations with black musicians, filmmakers, actors, and academics. Guests included Public Enemy frontman Chuck D, Digable Planets member LadyBug Mecca, jazz musician Keyon Harrold and Black dynamite actor Michael Jai White.
In addition to working on his own music and films, Adrian Younge designed the soundscape for films like Black dynamite and Boogie as well as TV shows like Marvel’s Luke Cage and Equalizer. The Los Angeles-based multi-instrumentalist has also produced songs by Kendrick Lamar, Ghostface Killah, and more.
