Thomas Rhet will mark the Friday (1) release of his new and sixth studio album where we started by partnering with Amazon Music that day for the launch event Thomas Rhett: The Live Experience.
The livestream will begin at 7 p.m. CT with a Twitch pre-show, which will be hosted by Kelly Sutton and Amber Anderson of the Country Heat Weekly podcast. Fans can access the pre-show through the Amazon Music channel on Twitch; on Prime Video; and in the Amazon Music mobile app via Twitch.
“I’m so excited to celebrate the release of where we started this Friday with Amazon Music,” the country star explains. “Whether you’re here in Nashville or anywhere else in the world watching virtually, I’m grateful to be working with the folks at Amazon Music to help us reach as many of you as possible. The show is really, really special to me and come full circle in so many ways – I can’t think of a better wait to celebrate together!”
Rhett recently premiered Valory Music Co.’s album with the track “Death corridor,” featuring Tyler Hubbard and Russell Dickerson and inspired by their visit to a Tennessee men’s prison with their guitars. The song was written by Rhett along with Ashley Gorley and Zack Crowell. It will appear on where we started featuring a duet with Katy Perry on the title track and a guest appearance by Riley Green.
The album will also feature Rhett’s current country hit “Slow Down Summer,” which goes up 14-12 in its 21st week on Billboard‘s Country Airplay chart and 12-11 on Hot Country Songs. He also guest stars on Breland’s current entry “Praise The Lord”.
In addition to all regular formats, where we started is available exclusively from Rhett’s website in a blue cassette edition with added commentary. “Who remembers their first tape?!” he wrote on Twitter.
