Thomas Rhet will headline the fifth edition Amazon Music Presents: Country Heat showcase during the opening day of CRS (Country Radio Seminar) week in Nashville on February 23.
The star of the country unveiled the new song “Us Someday” last week as another glimpse of his where we started album, scheduled for April 1st. The CRS event will feature him as the headliner which also includes Frank Ray, Lily Rose, Conner Smith and Morgan Wade. It will be hosted by Kelly Sutton and Amber Anderson, who run Amazon Music. “We are delighted to bring Country heat back to CRS this year,” says Michelle Tigard Kammerer, country music manager at Amazon Music. “We’ve curated a lineup featuring superstar Thomas Rhett and featuring four rising stars who have also been selected as artists to watch in 2022 by our lineup team, and we can’t wait for attendees to watch.”
Frank Ray, a former policeman, is at the forefront of a new Latino Country movement. Her single “Country’d Look Good On You” soared 36-34 in its 24th week on Billboard‘s Country Airplay chart dated February 12. Lily Rose, signed to Big Loud/Back Blocks via Republic/UMG, grabs attention with singles such as “Stronger Than I Am”, “Know My Way Around” and “Villain”. and the album Stronger Than I Am.
Valory also signs Conner Smith, who is on the Country Airplay charts with “Learn From It”, also featured on the Didn’t go too far PE. Morgan Wade rounds out the line-up, climbing both the airplay and sales charts with “Wilder Days.” It’s on her Reckless album, which entered Billboard’s Americana/Folk Albums chart on February 12 at No. 8.
The CRS showcase is set for 6-8 p.m. in the Broadway Ballroom of the Omni Nashville Hotel at the end of the first day of CRS, for which registration is now open.
