Earlier this week, a YouTuber and coder by the name of Dragon shared a new Pokemon project they were working on. It’s a Pokemon first person shooter game (yes, for real) powered by Unreal Engine, and in it, you have to uh…shoot pocket monsters, instead of catching them.
Many were already wondering how long it would be before legal ninjas appeared on the scene, and it has now been discovered that the YouTube videos for this game (uploaded by the creator) have been claimed by The Pokémon Company International.
The creator previously mentioned that the project is still in development, and while work will likely continue, it looks like there might be some issues uploading videos to YouTube from now on. Saying that, you can still find footage elsewhere online. Dragon also thinks “Nintendo hitman” would strike fast if the game was ever released to the public.
If you feel like taking pictures, you can always try the photography game, New Pokemon Snap. There is also the creature shooter, Palworld – heading to Steam this year. Are you at all surprised to see TPC taking action against these videos? Leave a comment below.
