YouTube is one of the most popular video streaming apps in the world. Many people use this app for learning something new or for entertainment purpose. There are times when you come across bad connection or the data speed is too low, so you cannot stream the videos properly. For this, YouTube allows you to download and store videos in the app for later viewing. There are also other methods to download video to your phone’s local storage, so read on to learn more.

Method 1:

YouTube offers two methods for uploading videos to its platform. Both methods are straightforward. you just need to open the app and download any video for offline viewing. The app does not allow you to download a video to the local storage of the phone and there are other methods for this.

On the YouTube app, when you open a video, you will see a download option right below it. You just need to press this Download button and the download will start. Users can view all downloaded videos in the library section of YouTube and you will be able to watch them without internet.

Alternatively, when the app displays the results of the video, you just need to tap on the three dots icon, which is visible on the right side of the video. Once you tap on it, you will see the same download option.

Method 2:

Those who want to download YouTube videos to their phone’s local storage can then download a third-party app for it. Snaptube is one such application, which is not available for download from the Play Store. So users can visit the official website and then download the app.

With the help of this app, you will be able to download videos from platforms like YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, etc. Android users just need to visit Snaptubeapp.com and install it on their smartphone. After that, you just need to find the YouTube video you want to download and then copy and paste the URL into the search bar of the Snaptube app.

The app will then display your video and even show a download button. You can download the video at any resolution. If you can’t find the video in your phone’s gallery, go to the settings section and check “Download path”.

For that, just tap “Me”> settings icon at the top> Download settings. After that, just change the “Download Path” to “Downloads” or where you want the videos to be downloaded.

Method 3:

If you don’t want to download an app on your smartphone, you can try this method as it just requires you to download a YouTube video by copying and pasting the video url on a website and pressing the button download.

There is a website called “en.savefrom.net”, just visit it and add the YouTube video link you want to download to your phone’s local storage. The site also allows you to change the resolution of the videos you want to download.

Once you add the video url, just hit the download button and your video will be uploaded to your gallery. This method will work for both desktop and mobile.
