BTS member Jimin continues to receive the love and support of his loyal devotees, especially those in the United States. On Tuesday, the idol’s track titled “Filter” hit the US iTunes Chart.
The tally lists many BTS tracks such as “Dynamite”, “Life Goes On”, “Dope” and “Butter” which currently holds the top spot. At the time of this writing, Jimin’s “Filter” is the single solo song from the K-pop group to enter the latest US iTunes Chart.
Currently, âFilterâ is listed at # 30. This track previously landed # 1 in said music rating on July 13, 2020.
Not only that, “Filter” also dominates Amazon Music as it remains one of the top-ranked songs on the top-selling songs list for 2021. It also maintained its position as the top-ranked K-pop solo song on Amazon’s. Best Seller -Categories of international songs and bestsellers.
In an interview with Spotify, Jimin revealed that he was the one who conceptualized the song âFilterâ.
âFilters can be the elements of a camera app or social media, but it can also mean people’s perspective or biases. I took these different meanings and expressed them in the song about how I want to present myself to the world in different ways, âthe BTS member revealed.
âI think I can show a new side of myself that is very different from my previous tracks, ‘Serendipity’ and ‘Lie’,” Jimin added.
Meanwhile, BTS member Jimin shared with Rolling stone how he adapted to all the changes brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.
âI still have a series of negative thoughts about the situation. You know, ‘Why are we in this situation?’ You know, ‘What are we doing?’ And I didn’t want to acknowledge or admit or face the fact that we can’t see our friends and can’t do the things we used to do, âtheâ Butter âsinger said.
Jimin also asked if he would still like to be a part of BTS at 40. The South Korean singer-songwriter-dancer said he couldn’t imagine what he would do without his co-members – Jin, Jungkook, J-Hope, RM, V and Suga.
âEven before our debut, my goal was to continue working with these people, to continue singing with these people. I think when I’m older and leave my own beard, I would like to think that in the end when I’m too old to dance, I would just like to sit on stage with the other members and sing and engage with the fans. And connect with the fans, âBTS member Jimin told Rolling Stone. âI think that would be great too. So I would like to continue as long as possible.
