Amazon Music Unlimited has arrived in Argentina with access to over 90 million songs.

Amazon continues its strategy of expanding Amazon Music Unlimited in South America. Argentina is the latest country to have access to music streaming subscriptions. The app is available on iOS, Android, Echo and many home audio devices.

“We’re very proud to expand Amazon Music’s reach in Latin America and provide fans with more ways to engage with their favorite new and current artists,” said Federico Pedersen, Latin America director for Amazon Music.

Among the top international stars, Argentinians can also listen to several local artists like Bizarrap, Soda Stereo, Cazzu, Luciano Pereyra and Lali – all streaming on Amazon Music Unlimited.

“Argentina has a rich and diverse cultural heritage which is reflected in its musical talent. We are excited to offer our customers a wide range of locally and globally curated content, including podcasts, playlists and streamers,” adds Pedersen.

How much does Amazon Mus Unlimited cost in Argentina?

New customers can sign up for a three-month free trial of the music streaming service for a limited time. Currently, Amazon offers Argentines three different plans.

  • Echo package only – 99 ARS + taxes per month (0.85 USD)
  • Individual plan – 279 ARS + taxes per month (2.38 USD)
  • Family plan – 489 ARS + tax per month (4.18 USD)

Argentina is just the latest country in South America to have access to Amazon Music Unlimited. Chile and Colombia saw the launch of the music streaming platform in their countries in November 2021.

Amazon says locally curated playlists and stations will also be a feature. This includes the Cumbia al Sur, a playlist of weekly releases of Argentinian cumbia music. Also included are Flow Argento for trap and rap and Clasicos Rock Argentino for rock. Meanwhile, the Mate en la Mañana playlist will specialize in international artists.

Amazon is also hiring music managers to help it manage its budding expansion into South America. The company was looking for a Music Manager – Argentina position in January 2022. The company is also seeing a Music Curator and a Senior Label Relations/Artist Relations Manager, both positions based in Buenos Aires.
