Alfie Templeman was crowned one of Amazon Music’s Breakthrough Artist of the Year.
After being on Amazon Music UK’s 2021 Ones to Watch list, the 18-year-old singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer has been chosen to benefit from the platform’s Developing Artist Program.
The ‘Tragic Love’ star joins fellow Breakthrough 2021 artists Lola Young, Priya Ragu and Olivia Dean, and alumni Arlo Parks, JAY1 and more.
The talented teenager said: “Many thanks to the legends of Amazon Music for choosing me as one of their breakthrough artists this year, so happy to be a part of that!”
A press release says Alife “will receive support from Amazon Music, including bespoke video and audio content, global marketing support, increased visibility on Amazon Music playlists and programming, and a track Large-scale Amazon Original available only on Amazon Music. “
The independent star – who was discovered when he was just 14 – has launched a full-fledged solo career and is one of the most fashionable musicians of his genre at the moment.
He previously stated that he was one of their guests to watch this year: âI am really excited to be on Amazon Music’s Ones To Watch 2021. As someone who makes music from my bedroom, itâs It’s amazing to see so many backers from companies like Amazon Music enjoying what I’ve created and it’s a pleasure to be named one of their favorites for the year to come! â
Alfie’s most recent release is her debut mini album, “Forever Isn’t Long Enough”, which proved to be a huge hit with critics and fans when released in May.
